 - The University of Washington has explored art-based mindfulness programs in order to alleviate teenage girls' headaches, a common side effect of stress.
 

- After 3 weeks of twice weekly therapy sessions, the girls reported a 40% drop in headaches; a result which endured 7 weeks after the study had ended.
 - While the girls reported fewer headaches as a result of the art therapy sessions, their reported stress levels had not changed much.
